HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

To date, only the world’s leading athletes and their organizations have benefited from the recent breakthroughs in the field of sport science, which leads to a massive, injury free, competitive advantage. PrecisionSports makes this new generation of sport science methodology available to adolescent-athletes of the San Francisco Bay Area, particularly Silicon Valley. PrecisionSports cares as much about its high school athletes achieving long, healthy careers and maximizing their sports performance as we do about professional and Olympic athletes. PrecisionSports detailed high school training approach is based upon:

  • Injury Prevention & Reduction
  • Collegiate Sport Preparation
  • Adolescent Exercise Science & Long Term Athlete Development
  • Data Science & Analytics

During the first half of high school (freshman and sophomore years), puberty status and physical maturity are large determinants of sports performance and certain fitness attributes for the adolescent athlete. Not all adolescents have the same body or the same response to physical training. They are unique organisms that require individualized training prescriptions as we prepare them for competing in college sports whether they have a scholarship or not. Athletes strength and conditioning progress is objectively monitored throughout the process to ensure outcomes are specific to immediate high school needs and/or future college sports goals. The following items are potential components featured in a high school athlete’s program depending on the athlete’s biological age, sport, position, stage of puberty, and any fitness training background he/she may have. Parents of adolescents commonly seek our services for the following needs:

  • Strength Training
  • Sprint Acceleration/Deceleration Mechanics
  • Standing/Approach Vertical Jump Training
  • Speed/Power Training
  • Agility/Change of Direction Mechanics
  • Injury Prevention and Corrective Orthopedic Exercise
  • Sport-specific Conditioning
  • Core Stability Training
